E-mail Setup - Microsoft Outlook 97

  1. From the Outlook Tools menu, choose Services.

  2. Select the Services tab.

  3. If Internet Mail appears in the list of services:

    1. Highlight Internet Mail.

    2. Click the Properties button.

    3. Go to step 7.

              If Internet Mail does not appear, continue with step 4.

  4. Click the Add button.

  5. In the Add Service to Profile window, highlight Internet Mail.

  6. Click OK.

  7. In the Internet Mail window, select the General tab.

  8. Enter your full name and e-mail address under Personal Information.

  9. For Internet Mail server, enter pop.castingyou.com

  10. For Account name, enter your Member ID.
          Note: your memberid must all be lower case.

  11. For Password, enter your e-mail password.
    Note: your password is case-sensitive.

  12. Select the Connection tab.

  13. Under Connecting to Internet Mail, choose Connect using the network.

  14. For Dial using the following connection, select your Castingyou.com connection.

  15. Click OK.

  16. If you have added the Internet Mail service, you will be prompted to restart Outlook. Click OK.

  17. Click OK again to dismiss the Services window.

  18. Quit and restart Outlook if necessary.

    Sending Mail

    1. From the Compose menu, choose New Mail Message

    2. Enter primary recipients in the To: field, carbon copy recipients in the CC: field (optional), and type a title for the message in the Subject field.

    3. To attach files to the message:  from the Insert menu, choose File .

    4. When your message is finished, click the Send button.

    Checking Mail

    1. From the Tools menu, choose Check for New Mail.

    2. New messages will be downloaded and placed in the Inbox.

    3. To read a message in the Inbox, double-click on it.

    4. To reply to the message, click the Reply button. To forward it, click the Forward button.

    5. To file the message in a folder, from the File menu, choose Move to Folder or Copy to Folder.

    6. To delete the message: from the File menu, choose Delete.

Configuring a New Account

  1. From the Tools menu, choose Account.

  2. Select the Mail tab.

  3. Click the Add button.

  4. From the Add menu, choose Mail.

  5. In the Display name text box, type your name.

  6. Click the Next button to continue.

  7. In the E-mail address text box, type your e-mail address.

  8. In the Incoming mail (POP3 or IMAP) server text box, type mail.castingyou.com

  9. In the Outgoing mail (SMTP) server text box, type mail.castingyou.com

  10. Click the Next button to continue.

  11. In the Name text box, type your name.

  12. In the Password text box, type your password.

  13. Click the Next button.

  14. Then click on Finish

  15. If your mail takes you to the next step....Then use the following:

  16. Select Connect using my local are network (LAN).

  17. or Connect using my local are network (dial-up)

  18. Click the Next button to continue.

  19. Click the Finish button.

  20. Click the Close button.

Reconfiguring an Existing Account

  1. From the Tools menu, choose Account.

  2. Select the Mail tab.

  3. Select the account to be reconfigured.

  4. Click the Properties button.

  5. In the Mail account text box, type mail.castingyou.com

  6. In the Name text box, type your name.

  7. In the E-mail Address text box, type your e-mail address.
    For example,
    memberid@castingyou.com

  8. Check Include this account when doing a full send and receive.

  9. Select the Servers tab.

  10. In the Outgoing Mail (SMTP) text box, type mail.castingyou.com

  11. In the Incoming Mail (POP3) text box, type mail.castingyou.com

  12. Select Log on using.

  13. In the Account name text box, type your Member ID.
    Note: your memberid must all be lower case.

  14. In the Password text box, type your password.
    Note: your password is case-sensitive.

  15. Uncheck My server requires authentication

  16. Select the Connection tab.

  17. Select Connect using my local are network (LAN).

  18. Select the Advanced tab.

  19. In the Outgoing Mail (SMTP) text box, type 25.

  20. In the Incoming Mail (POP3) text box, type 110.

  21. Move the Server timeouts slider to the right (toward Long) to set the Server timeouts value to 5 minutes.

  22. Click the OK button.

  23. Click the Close button.


E-mail Setup - Microsoft Outlook Express 5.x

1. Click the Tools menu and select Accounts

2. Click the Add button and select Mail.

3. Type your name. Click Next.

4. Click I already have an e-mail address.

5. Type your e-mail address. For example:  memberid@castingyou.com  Click Next.

6. Select POP3.

7. In the Incoming mail server box, type mail.castingyou.com

8. In the Outgoing mail server box, type mail.castingyou.com Click Next.

9. In the Account name box, type your Member ID.  Note: your memberid must all be lower case.

10. In the Password box, type your password. Note: your password is case-sensitive.

11. If you want to have your password saved, so that you don't have to type it when checking email, place a check in the Remember password box.  Click Next.

12. Click Finish to save your settings.
